All Iraqi groups that renounce violence should be included in next month’s international conference on Iraq, the French foreign minister said Monday. Michel Barnier reiterated a call that all of the country’s political forces should participate in the conference, which is meant to promote political stability in Iraq and support the country’s elections early next year. Egypt is hosting the meeting Nov. 22-23. Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit recently said that Iraqi opposition groups would not be invited to the high-level conference, which is being organized by Iraq’s interim government.
