Eritrean security forces captured a Khartoum-backed “terrorist network” seeking to assassinate President Isayas Afewerki, the Foreign Affairs Ministry said. But Sudanese Foreign Minister Mustafa Osman Ismail on Thursday dismissed the statement as a smokescreen to hide Asmara’s efforts to topple the government in Sudan.
