A powerful explosion at a Nairobi airport left two people injured Sunday and caused part of the roof of the departure terminal to collapse, but authorities said the blast appeared to be an accident. “We think that the explosion was caused by flammable substances at the customs storage section,” Kenyan government spokesperson Alfred Mutua said at the city’s Wilson domestic airport. “We don’t think it was a bomb, because the explosion came from a customs bonded warehouse where flammable materials are usually kept,” said tourism and information minister Raphael Tuju, also at the scene.
