Colombian security forces capture rebel suspected of five murders

Colombian security forces have captured a leftist rebel suspected of killing four women and a man on the nation’s north coast last week, authorities said Wednesday. Officials said the detainee, Willinton Jose Quiroz, is “responsible for the multiple murder” committed in Coloso, a town in the Caribbean province of Sucre. Quiroz, a member of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC, the nation’s largest Marxist rebel organization, was wanted on “rebellion” and “terrorism” charges. Full Story
