President George W. Bush said that finding Osama bin Laden is not the principle aim of the war on terror. In a presidential election debate with Democratic rival Senator John Kerry on Friday, Bush said: “It is a a fundamental misunderstanding to say that the war on terror is only Osama bin Laden. “The war on terror is to make sure that these terrorist organisations do not end up with weapons of mass destruction. That’s what the war on terror is about.” Bush hit out after coming under new pressure from Kerry over the justification for the invasion of Iraq. Full Story
