A man on the Philippines government’s list of 10 most wanted fugitives was arrested and taken into custody in the Los Angeles suburb of West Covina. Eddie Garcia Trinidad, 46, was arrested Thursday and appeared in federal court Friday. He was denied bail and remanded to federal custody, where he will remain pending an extradition hearing, according to the FBI. In March 2002, Trinidad was charged by the Philippine government with ransom kidnapping for providing financial and logistical support to a group known to kidnap Filipino children of Chinese descent.
