A Colombian court has ordered the release from prison of a leftist rebel commander jailed for 16 years. Officials at the prison in the west-central town of La Dorada were awaiting Thursday the arrival of an order from the Pasto provincial Superior Court to free Jose Yesid Arteta, who headed a unit of the leftist Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC, the nation’s largest rebel group.
