Two French judges were in Ivory Coast’s economic capital Abidjan on Tuesday to conduct investigations into the disappearance six months ago of Franco-Canadian journalist Guy-Andre Kieffer, a source close to the inquiry has said. Judges Patrick Ramael and Emmanuelle Ducos arrived on Sunday and are expected to remain in the west African country for around two weeks, the source said. Kieffer, a correspondent for the biweekly French-language newsletter La Lettre du Continent devoted to African affairs, vanished without a trace on April 16.
