Just days before the resumption of peace talks in Kenya between the Sudanese government and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement/Army (SPLM/A), the SPLM/A has expressed concern over “the continuing build-up of government troops” in garrison towns in southern Sudan. However, a government spokesman denied that extra troops were being sent to the south. The talks, which were adjourned in July, are scheduled to resume on Thursday. Full Story
