A new audiotaped message made by Al Qaeda’s second-ranking leader and broadcast Friday calls on young Muslims around the world to “carry on the fight” even if the group’s leaders are killed or captured. The message by the leader, Ayman al-Zawahiri, was broadcast on the Arab satellite television channel Al Jazeera, and intelligence officials in Washington said a review by the Central Intelligence Agency had concluded that it was authentic.
