A Palestinian rocket hit an Israeli town near the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, killing two people, according to Israeli media. Soon after, witnesses said an Israeli helicopter launched a strike near a Palestinian refugee camp in Gaza.The rocket attack on the town of Sderot occurred as Jews prepared to usher in the holiday of Sukkot, the fall harvest celebration and came despite a large Israeli incursion by tanks, troops and armored vehicles into northern Gaza aimed at preventing such attacks.
