A car bomb in the northern city of Mosul killed at least four members of the Iraqi National Guard on Monday, delivering the latest blow to Iraqi security forces struggling to gain credibility and assert control. The attack was one of at least three aimed at Iraqi police or soldiers. They followed a bloody weekend that saw Iraqi forces attacked with mortars, homemade explosives and small arms fire in several Iraqi regions.
