The senior leadership of Al-Qaeda could be hiding in the tribal borderlands between Afghanistan and Pakistan – but is feeling the pressure from both sides, a US military spokesman said. “The borders remain very porous between both countries, is it possible that senior leadership of Al Qaeda is hiding… in Pakistan or Afghanistan,” Major Scott Nelson told a regular news briefing in Kabul on Monday.
