The United States consulate in Pakistan’s southern industrial city of Karachi has received a bomb threat, a U.S. official and Pakistani police said on Wednesday. “Yes, there is a bomb threat but we have not vacated the building,” said a U.S. consulate official, who asked not to be named. “People are still working on it.” Fayyaz Leghari, a deputy inspector general of police in Karachi, said a bomb disposal team had been rushed to the consulate, where the security is already quite high.
