The United States warned American citizens in Pakistan to take extra security measures at the weekend as protests against military operations in Najaf, Iraq have been called across the country. The US Consulate General in southern port city of Karachi advised Americans to avoid the area around the consulate and reduce their travel within the city through Saturday. The US mission in Karachi also released non-essential staff early on Friday as protests were called for after afternoon prayer congregations against US-led military operations in Najaf. Full Story
