The Venezuelan opposition said it would respect the results of the presidential recall election scheduled for this weekend only if they are validated by the international community. “We will accept election results only if they are validated by the OAS (Organization of American States), the Carter Center and the UNDP (United Nations Development Program),” the press quoted representative Asdrubal Aguiar as saying Tuesday night after meeting with observers from the Carter Center.
