A suicide car bomb exploded outside a police station in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul on Sunday, killing at least five people and wounding more than 50, police and doctors said. Witnesses said a Toyota Landcruiser raced toward a checkpoint as guards shouted at the driver to stop. When he did not, they opened fire, killing the driver, but the car plowed on and exploded 20 meters (60 feet) from the station. “I was waiting for a taxi when the car approached at high speed. They killed the driver but the car carried on. It blew up in the middle of everyone,” said Younis al-Hadidi, 32. Full Story
