Malaysia and Singapore have agreed to find new ways to check the threat of terrorism, over and above the co-ordinated sea patrols in the Malacca Strait announced earlier this month. This was revealed after a meeting between Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister Tony Tan and his Malaysian counterpart Najib Razak on Tuesday. Dr Tan is on a three-day visit to Kuala Lumpur. Just a week ago, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia agreed to co-ordinated patrols in the Malacca Strait. The idea is to curb piracy and deter terrorists in the busy waterway.Full Story
