An Iraqi militant group said it had taken hostage two Pakistanis working for U.S. forces and had sentenced them to death because their country was discussing sending troops to Iraq, according to a video shown Monday on pan-Arab Al-Jazeera television station. The group, calling itself the Islamic Army in Iraq, also said it was holding an Iraqi contract driver. The kidnappings were the latest in a wave of abductions of foreigners clearly designed to force countries to withdraw their troops from Iraq or to reconsider whether to send any in the first place.Full Story
