A top federal prosecutor called on the border state of Chihuahua on Tuesday to fire all its law enforcement officials, saying they are untrustworthy and have done little to solve a decade-long string of sexually motivated killings in the border city of Ciudad Juarez. Assistant Attorney General Mario Álvarez Ledesma also said that only 34 women were missing in Ciudad Juarez, a comment that drew criticism from women’s groups who claim that hundreds have disappeared.
