Mexico reports lowest number of strikes in 16 years

Mexico registered 12 strikes in the first six months of this year, the lowest number in 16 years for a comparable period, the Labor Secretariat said. Between January and June 2004, 2,064 strike orders were issued, but only 12 strikes actually took place.
