Israel’s Labor Party is pressing Prime Minister Ariel Sharon to expedite his planned withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, and wants legislation to compensate evacuated Jewish settlers, a senior Labor legislator said Monday. Labor was to put its demands on the table during negotiations with Sharon’s Likud for joining the governing coalition.
