Police searched an Islamic cultural center and mosque in Cologne on Thursday after receiving a tip from immigration authorities that it might be being used to form a radical Islamic network, police said. City immigration authorities first became suspicious in November 2003 when many Moroccans and Tunisians requested lodging in the apartment of one of the association’s members, a 28-year-old Moroccan, police said in a statement. Police searched both the offices of the Islamic Cultural Center of Cologne, the associated Al Tauhid mosque and the apartment on a warrant issued by a Cologne court. Full Story
