A Spanish judge on Wednesday charged the latest suspect detained in connection with the Madrid rail bombings with collaborating with a terrorist group, a court official said. Abderramed Hammadi Afandi, a Moroccan-born Spaniard, had been arrested Monday in Leganes and jailed without charges pending further investigations. Leganes, a small town close to Madrid, was where seven other suspects in the March 11 attacks blew themselves up to avoid arrest, as police officers closed in on them in an April 3 raid. Full Story
