A dozen arrested in Argentina as part of "Plan Condor" probe

Argentine federal judge on Monday ordered the arrest of 12 former military officers from the 1976-1983 dictatorship for their involvement in “Plan Condor,” a transnational offensive against “subversives” by Southern Cone military regimes in the 1970s and ’80s. Judge Jorge Urso issued warrants for the arrest of Gens. Albano Harguideguy and Ramon Diaz Besone, the military regime’s respective interior and planning ministers, along with others. Full Story
