The American and British embassies in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, have resumed normal service after security alerts earlier this week. The UK high commission shut down on Monday after receiving threatening telephone calls. The US embassy had suspended some of its services and cancelled an Independence Day party on the premises. The threats, of an undisclosed nature, led to further increases in security in Islamabad’s diplomatic area.Full Story
