Mexican president Vicente Fox responded to a massive demonstration of citizens demanding greater protection from crime with a 10-point plan whose results he will report on in two months. “Crime will not prevail over the strength an energy of our union. Together, government and society will overcome,” Fox said, promising criminals “no quarter, ceasefire or respite.” In a radio and television address from Los Pinos presidential residence Thursday night, Fox pledged to render, in 60 days, an account of “this effort to make Mexico a safer place.” Full Story
