King Abdullah II ordered a series of measures to facilitate the travel of Iraqis into and out of Jordan, describing the kingdom’s relations with its eastern neighbour as “strategic”. King Abdullah “ordered immediate and practical measures to be taken to facilitate the arrival and departure of Iraqi nationals at the Jordanian-Iraqi border,” the official Petra news agency said. “Jordan’s relationship with Iraq is a strategic one and requires that we do what we can to help the Iraqi people overcome the difficult conditions they are facing,” the king said, according to Petra.Full Story
