The parliamentary commission investigating the March train bombings in Madrid met for the first time Wednesday, adopting a tentative schedule for witnesses testimony and the examination of evidence. Details were to be made public next Wednesday when hearings begin. The bulk of the inquiry is expected to be finished in July, commission president Paulino Rivero said. The March 11 terrorist attacks on commuter trains, blamed on Islamic militants with possible links to the al-Qaida terror network, killed 190 people and wounded more than 2,000. Full Story
