Pakistan won’t extradite the nephew of a former top al-Qaida operative to any other country, including the United States, the interior minister said Tuesday. Masrab Arochi, the nephew of former al-Qaida No. 3 Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, was arrested by police over the weekend in the southern city of Karachi. Mohammed, the highest-ranking al-Qaida figure in custody, was captured near the capital Islamabad in 2003. Pakistan is a key U.S. ally in its war on terrorism, and Islamabad has handed over more than 500 terror suspects to Washington, including Mohammed, since the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.Full Story
