Capitol, Supreme Court Evacuated in Air Scare

The U.S. Capitol and Supreme Court were temporarily evacuated on Wednesday when a small plane triggered a security scare during preparations for former President Ronald Reagan’s funeral, officials said. Federal authorities, already on high alert, declared the incident a false alarm and sounded an all-clear after aviation and security personnel were able to identify the aircraft and determine it was not a threat. Employees at the Supreme Court were told to take shelter in the basement before police gave the all-clear.
