A Spanish judge indicted two Algerians on Monday, bringing to six the number accused of collaborating with an extremist organization believed to be connected with al-Qaida. Judge Fernando Grande-Marlaska filed the charges against Souhil Kaouka and Mohamed Amine Benaboura for their alleged links to the Algerian extremist organization, the Salafist Group for Call and Combat. The two were arrested in January 2003 along with 14 others in the northeastern region of Catalonia. Four months later, all 16 were released because of a lack of evidence, but the case was reopened after a report by the FBI suggested the suspects could have turned household products into “homemade napalm.” Full Story
