North Korea is operating a military unit specialized in hacking into South Korean computer networks, Seoul’s top military intelligence official said Thursday. On orders from its leader Kim Jong Il, the communist nation has been operating an elite military unit aimed at getting secret information from the South’s agencies and staging cyber propaganda, said Song Young-keun, commanding general of the Defense Security Command.
