A Saudi Arabian national who is believed to have roomed with a friend of two of the Sept. 11 hijackers was arrested on Thursday on immigration violations, U.S. authorities said. Hasan Saddiq Faseh Alddin, 34, who is a legal permanent resident of the United States, was picked up near his home in San Diego, California, a spokesman for the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement said. He was being held without bail pending deportation proceedings because of immigration violations stemming from two convictions for domestic violence. The spokesman did not say how the incidents were connected. Authorities said they believed Alddin had associated with friends of two of the San Diego-based hijackers of the plane that smashed into the Pentagon on Sept. 11, 2001. Full Story
