A British civilian contractor was shot and killed in Iraq while driving between the northern cities of Mosul and Arbil, the Foreign Office revealed. “He was shot in a drive-by shooting on the main Mosul to Arbil highway,” a Foreign Office spokeswoman told AFP on Wednesday. The victim, 33-year-old Andrew Harris, born in Cardiff, south Wales, was working for an unnamed security company. “We are actually not directly involved in this. His employer is making all the necessary arrangements,” the Foreign Office spokeswoman said. The shooting came four days after British ex-Marine Brian Tilley working as a private contractor was killed after a gunman walked into the house in Baghdad where he was staying and opened fire.
