Chicago has invited law enforcement and homeland security experts from Seattle, Los Angeles and from such notorious international terrorism targets as Israel and London to gather here next month to compare notes. The first-of-its-kind anti-terrorism summit will be held June 3 and 4 at the 911 emergency center that serves as Chicago’s central command during major emergencies and high terrorism alerts. Ron Huberman said he arranged the meeting in one of his first official acts as executive director of Emergency Management and Communications because he wants to know how Chicago measures up in training, assessing big city vulnerabilities and determining where and how to spend federal funding.
