The international community has expressed concern at Libya’s death sentence for five Bulgarian nurses and a Palestinian doctor. The six medics are accused of deliberately infecting around 400 children with HIV to find an Aids cure. European Commission president Romano Prodi, who hosted a landmark visit by Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi last week, urged a review of the verdict.
