US says it respects Pakistan territorial integrity
The United States said it respected the territorial integrity of Pakistan, following charges by Islamabad that American troops in Afghanistan strayed into its northwestern border territory. Pakistan had lodged a protest with the United States after a few troops on Sunday reportedly entered some 300 meters (327 yards) into Pakistani territory in the Lwara Mandi area, on the border with Afghanistan. “We have told the Pakistan government that the Coalition absolutely respects the territorial integrity of Pakistan,” the US State Department said in a statement.
