A Spanish magistrate investigating the March 11 train bombings in Madrid, ordered two Moroccan brothers freed who were detained on suspicion of involvement in Spain’s worst ever terrorist attack, judicial sources said. Following two hours of questioning magistrate Juan del Olmo freed Abdennabid Cheddadi, arrested Friday near the southern city of Almeria while forbidding him to leave Spain. Del Olmo also agreed to a request by the public prosecutor to release Cheddadi’s brother Mohamed, detained on March 23 in connection with the attacks which killed 191 people and which authorities believe were the work of Moroccan Islamic extremists.
