Three local leaders of the radical Palestinian Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades were killed in a clash with Israeli troops at daybreak in the northern West Bank, sources on both sides said. The shoot-out occurred after 20 Israeli armored vehicles including tanks surrounded the house in the town of Tulkarem where the three were holed up, Palestinian security sources said. The three men killed were named as Bilal Abu Amsha, 27, Ghanem Ghanem, 25, and Aiman Bagharneh, 30. Their deaths brought the overall toll since the September 2000 start of the Palestinian uprising, or intifada, to 3,930, including 2,961 Palestinians and 899 Israelis. Full Story
