The State Department is expected to order nonessential U.S. diplomats and all dependents to leave Saudi Arabia because of security concerns, U.S. officials said Thursday. “It’s in the works,” said one official, who asked not to be identified. “I don’t have a timetable for when. My expectation would be before the end of the week.” A second U.S. official, also speaking on condition of anonymity, said the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, had requested to be allowed to send home nonessential diplomats and family members.
