Sony Pictures Entertainment has bought the rights to “Against All Enemies,” the best-selling book by Richard Clarke, the former White House counterterrorism adviser, and plans to turn it into a feature-length movie. John Calley, a veteran Hollywood executive who was until last year Sony’s chairman, will develop and produce it. “I think it’s a really interesting story along the lines of `All the President’s Men,’ ” said Amy Pascal, vice chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment. “There’s a real narrative drama in the material. We’re going to see if we can develop a film out of it.” Mr. Calley has worked with political material before, having shepherded “All the President’s Men,” the 1976 Watergate thriller, when he was an executive at Warner Brothers in the 1970’s.
