A German court on Wednesday released Mounir el-Motassadeq, the only man convicted in connection with the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in the United States, pending a new trial later this year. The release of Mr. Motassadeq, who was serving a 15-year sentence on more than 3,000 counts of accessory to murder, followed a decision by a German appeals court last month to reverse his conviction. The court ruled that Mr. Motassadeq had been denied a fair trial because of the refusal of the United States to allow testimony by a captured terrorist suspect. Full Story
