Spain said on Monday it had arrested one more suspect in connection with the Madrid train bombings and ramped up security nationwide to allay fears of further attacks, amid a reported threat of more carnage. Police said the latest suspect was a Moroccan, who had been detained on April 2 in Ceuta, a Spanish enclave in north Africa bordering Morocco. Their information contradicted earlier reports that two arrests had been made on Saturday. The authorities were taking no chances on Monday, tightening security in the wake of a police raid in a southern Madrid suburb on Saturday, in which the alleged mastermind of the March 11 train attacks blew himself up along with four accomplices.
