China will take countermeasures against U.S. visa applicants after the United States began demanding that Chinese seekers of non-immigrant visas submit fingerprints, the foreign ministry said on Wednesday. Beijing’s retaliatory move against the new U.S. policy — also unpopular in many other countries — comes as China wages another publicity battle against Washington over a U.S. motion at the United Nations to censure its human rights practices. China kept up a barrage of angry rebuttals to the motion on Wednesday.
