Arab countries have been taken off the list of Non-Cooperative Countries and Territories (NCCT) after they took a series of measures to combat money laundering and terrorist funding following intense pressure by the US and other organisations. But although the IMF is satisfied with the steps taken and efforts to combat money laundering and terrorist funding, it will continue to monitor this region and provide technical and other assistance on an ongoing basis, officials said after the conclusion of a course on Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism in Abu Dhabi.
