A bomb has killed two US soldiers and wounded a third on a road 70 kilometres (45 miles) west of Baghdad. The combat soldiers’ vehicle, which was serving as an escort in a convoy, struck a homemade bomb in Habaniya, US Central Command reports. The deaths bring to 267 the number of US troops reported by the Pentagon as killed in action in Iraq since the end of major combat on 1 May.
