Egyptian intelligence chief Omar Suleiman met for talks with Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat as Cairo’s involvement in the Middle East peace process deepened. Suleiman made no comment to reporters as he entered Arafat’s Ramallah headquarters, known as the Muqataa, alongside Arafat’s national security advisor Jibril Rajub. Suleiman, who has been at the forefront of efforts to persuade Palestinian armed factions to agree to a ceasefire, had met with Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon on Monday night. Full Story
