Three Palestinians, including an Islamic Jihad top leader and militant, were killed when an Israeli helicopter blew up a car near Gaza City, medical and security sources said. Security sources said an Apache helicopter, backed by an F-16 fighter jet, fired three missiles at around 7:45 pm (1745 GMT) in the Saftawi neigbourhood just north of Gaza City. The Subaru car in which the three victims were travelling was completely destroyed, while nearby houses and other vehicles were damaged.
