U.S. soldiers captured seven insurgents with possible links to al Qaeda during a raid on Wednesday in central Iraq, the U.S. military said. The seven men were targets of a raid carried out by the U.S. Army’s 4th Infantry Division in Baquba, 40 miles north of Baghdad. “The seven targets may have links to al Qaeda,” a military spokesman said. They were suspected of being part of a cell that launched attacks against U.S.-led occupation forces, he said. Another 15 people were also arrested in the same raid.
